In 2009, following the liberalization of the electricity market in Spain, and after much bureaucracy and constant learning, a small electricity and gas trading company called Orus Energía was founded: the birth of the future Audax Group. It was a start from scratch, with a very small structure where invoices were printed, folded, and mailed by hand. Thanks to adaptability to change, commercial vision, and constant effort, it was possible to transform a stagnant electricity market dominated by large, traditional companies.

Gradually, Orus carved out a niche for itself in the market thanks to innovative measures aimed at streamlining processes and facilitating sales to commercial channels, investing in continuous training, and launching new customer-focused products. In 2011, it achieved triple-digit growth rates, which enabled the acquisition of the trading company Audax and the achievement of exponential growth. Audax continued to improve its processes, develop innovations and new products to meet market needs, and begin expanding beyond its home market.

In 2013, Audax began its internationalization by entering the Portuguese market and is currently present in 7 European countries: Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Poland, Holland and France, with plans for further growth.
