Capacitor banks
Are you still paying for reactive energy?
If you see a line item on your electricity bill that lists reactive energy, it's time to understand what it consists of. We'll explain it to you and how you can eliminate these costs from your bill.

What is reactive energy?
Reactive energy is the additional energy required by some inductive devices, such as motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures, to operate. This reactive energy reduces the efficiency of the systems because it does not generate useful work. Furthermore, it is detrimental to the electrical grid in general because it causes distortions in the transmission network.
If reactive energy exceeds a certain percentage of the active energy consumed, the distributor will add a penalty to the electricity bill.
How can I eliminate this reactive energy?
Reactive energy can be compensated by installing a capacitor bank in your facility, avoiding the reactive energy penalty and saving on your electricity bill.
What are the benefits of installing a capacitor bank?
At Audax Renewables, we want companies, businesses, small shops, and freelancers to benefit from the advantages of installing a capacitor bank in their businesses to reduce their electricity bills. The main advantages of installing a capacitor bank are as follows:
- Avoid penalties for excess reactive energy.
- Increases the capacity of installed lines and transformers.
- Improves the voltage of the network.
- Reduces energy losses in the cables and their heating.
- Achieves a reduction in overall energy costs.
What do I need to calculate the best battery for my needs?
Based on your last 6 bills, we will provide an estimate of the most suitable capacitor bank for your business's energy needs, assuming consumption conditions are maintained.
How can I purchase the capacitor bank?
At Audax Renewables, we offer a complete capacitor bank installation service for businesses, shops, small businesses, and freelancers. The service includes:
- The capacitor bank
- The standard installation of the capacitor bank
- The commissioning of the system.
- All this with exclusive payment facilities for our customers.
Is the installation included in the cost of the capacitor bank?
We know that the life of an entrepreneur isn't easy. That's why Audax Renewables includes standard installation for all our capacitor banks. Furthermore, installation is carried out by qualified personnel, so our customers don't have to worry about anything.
How long does it take to deliver the device?
We estimate a delivery time of 15 days from receipt of the signed contract at our offices. Our technicians will contact you to arrange the installation date and time.
What payment options or discounts can I receive?
Audax Renewables customers can finance the batteries interest-free for 12 months. We also offer additional direct discounts on the battery price for "early payment," amounting to 10% for financing in 6 months or 20% for cash payment.
What happens if I have already installed a capacitor bank but I am still billed for reactive energy consumption?
If you already have a capacitor bank installed in your facility but still have reactive energy consumption on your bill, it may be that the capacitor bank is not functioning properly or that the current reactive energy consumption is higher than what the capacitor bank can compensate for. In this case, we offer an optional service to review the operation of your capacitor bank and advise you on repairing it or replacing it with one more suitable for your new needs.
Companies, businesses, small shops, and freelancers know better than anyone how important it is to minimize costs. By installing a capacitor bank, you can benefit from significant savings on your electricity bill without having to worry about anything. Join us and save electricity!
