Components of the fixed tariff – shops and restaurants

The fixed tariff for tradespeople and small businesses with a capacity of 10 kW to 15 kW has two components:

Total demand charge: This is the price you pay for the electrical power used in your premises. It does not vary based on consumption but is a fixed price billed per day. It is measured in kW. Please note that depending on the size of your small business, you may need to contract more or less power. For example, the higher the contracted power, the more electrical devices you can use, but the more you pay. How is it calculated? Contracted power x billing period (days) x total demand charge.
Electricity consumption: This corresponds to the electricity consumed during the billing period. Your electricity consumption is measured in kW/h. Unlike the total demand charge, this amount varies on each bill because it reflects the electricity consumption in your premises.
